SaffeGard Q-12s uses a powerline phone jack at the user side which
any stand-alone telephone handset may plug into as a user station. This telephone
handset may be a corded handset or a cordless handset at the user's
choice. For more user mobility a wireless handset is even more
convenient. To purposely restrict mobility rather, a
wired handset may be preferred. The system can accomodate any number of powerline jacks
in different rooms at user's needs. There is virtually
no distance limitation
between the entry station and the indoor sets, as long as outdoor
station and indoor sets are on the same powerline network.
When an arriving guest presses the call button on the Panel, user
handsets will ring to announce the call. Pick up a handset to
converse with the guest. If access is to be granted to the guest,
the user simply enters the code to release the entry door. The user
hangs up instead to deny access. For monitoring purposes, the user
may pick up a handset at any time to screen for possible sound bytes
off the entry area, or to directly release the entry door to an
arriving guest by anticipation.
SaffeGard Q-12p
The premium Q-12p model adds a whole array of outstanding
features to those offered by the standard Q-12s model. These
features are described below.
Powerline link or 900
MHz radio link as two kits to choose from. Choose the radio link
particularly when power available at the entrance of the property is
not linked back in any form to the dwelling on the property. Choose
the powerline link when propagation of radio waves between entry and
handset location inside dwelling may be seriously obstructed, for
instance handset located in a basement or use of handset in a metal
frame building, etc. Also beware that the powerline link is
virtually immune to any form of annoying radio interference.
Embedded keypad
provides
keyless entry for residents. A total of
120 user codes available with security error lockout.
As part of basic service set, also provides capability for provisioning forced access by emergency personnel with a Keylock: location of key to be
shared with off-premise emergency personnel, i.e. Knoxx box. Capability to restrict hours of
visitation for guests by
disabling the call button.
Very useful
in commercial applications. Convenient label placeholder to publish authorized hours
of visitation or any other fitting message.
Supports external
low-cost timer,
an array of white-light
LEDs
under photocell control
to turn them on at dusk and off at dawn, as well as an
external motion sensor.
Timer, photocell and motion sensor are intended to automate any set of functions. For instance, you may set timer to
enable or disable a function for a specific time period of day, on a day-to-day basis or
on a weekly basis; aside from lights any function may be set to turn on at dusk
and off at dawn under photocell control, etc. In addition the user
has
override control
over timer, photocell switch, motion sensor and keypad operation:
the user is able to enable or disable at any time those specific
master controls from the handset by entering appropriate commands.
Optional built-in video camera: B&W or Infrared or Color, supported by light
set for night-time operation. Lighting also supports call initiation by guests and residents's usage of Keypad during
nightly hours. Two
lighting kits available:
visible or infrared with automatic turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.
Long-life
white LED lighting for the visible. Long-life infrared LED's.
A request-to-exit
button may be installed at the inside entry area allowing guests to exit the
property on their own. Optional rechargeable battery pack provides backup for
keypad and camera operation in event of power failure.
