SaffeGard Q-12
SaffeGard Q-12 series of wireless doorphones is able to accomodate different forms of power feed depending on the manner in which power is available at the entry door or gate to be secured.

SaffeGard does not use dry cells in any configuration and is therefore not vulnerable or subject to battery wear and leakage, climate impairment of batteries and periodic replacement of batteries. SaffeGard relies on a solid powerline connection that guarantees continued availability of security services offered by the Panel, a key requirement in any security application. Though an optional rechargeable battery pack is available in order to maintain access functions in the event of a power failure.    

All PowerWire models must be connected to an AC receptacle or tied to the power line. All radio broadcast models may optionally be powered from a 24V AC Adaptor pluggable in any nearby wall outlet, particularly in the inside part of property at a gated entrance. The handling of a low voltage line is knowingly easier to carry out than a direct power line. SaffeGard may perfectly work on a 115V power line or a 230V line.
