Multi-line Phones and Phone Systems
SaffeGard Q-12
equipped with the PowerWire kit is directly compatible with multi-line
phones and phone systems. This opens up the possibility for any existing
handset inside the premise to attend to the entry door. This is achieved
by plugging the transceiver into any unused CO line port of a multi-line
phone or by conveniently making the transceiver's output available to
the unused CO line jacks of those phones via proper wiring.
The same holds true for a
phone system. Normally the transceiver will plug into the unused CO line
port of the phone system. Further the phone system is programmed in
order to assign that "line" to an extension or a specific group of
extensions, whichever set of extensions are required to be dedicated to
the door entry service.
