Doorbell button not at all needed anymore to ring your door chime! Use the existing doorbell wires to connect your Doorphone rather to the Controller. That will save you the chore of running a new wire pair for the Doorphone.

When you are on a phone call and an arriving guest initiates a door call, you normally get a call waiting tone at your handset to announce the visitor. But if you do not intend to be interrupted in any ways from your phone call, not even to tell somebody to get the door, that's when you need something like a door chime announcer in addition to call waiting!
