The OmniCom Telephone Entry System is based on modularity and open architecture. Open architecture allows the OmniCom system to seamlessly integrate with the rest of our home intercom systems and so provide a handful of residential commodities on a per unit basis cost-effectively.  Modularity makes this entry system extremely reliable and particularly easy to maintain. All Entry Access Panels are modular and carry multiple circuits board for individual audio and control functions. All MPU modules carry separate power and control boards.

Extended intercom commodities (phone-to-phone intercom, call transfer, etc.) are provided by separate modules that can be serviced on their own. Maintenance service can be performed on a single-unit basis with no incidence on other units. An IPC card within the MPU controller may be interchanged while the system is free running. Modularity efficiently minimizes the risk of total failure of the system. The possible failure of one intercom unit will not affect the operation of other units. Failure of one function will not affect performance of other functions. Unavailability of audio function for instance does not preclude call initiation or cross-call alerts, for instance.
