The MiniCom Q-16 residential telephone intercom system will allow you to use visual and acoustic call indicators as might fit your needs for every specific location. Via the Qx-1 device which plugs into any home phone jack, phone calls going thru the MiniCom and intercom calls originated by the MiniCom may be signaled in an acoustic fashion with an attached Bell or in a visual fashion with an attached beacon or strobe light. A bell for the noisy garage or a strobe light for the theater room will fittingly take care of the signaling needs at those locations in most homes and home offices.

In addition to visual and acoustic signals for calls, there will be a distinctive modality of the signals. Incoming phone calls will ring with the Bell or flash with the strobe light in a distinct fashion than they will for intercom calls. So you can distinguish between types of calls and answer those calls according to the priority of the moment.
