Ennovah Q-26 Series
The Ennovah Telephone Intercom Systems have the ability to handle a maximum of 4 video cameras, whether doorphone built-in or stand-alone units, which footage is outcast to household TV's via home cable system, to computer screen via video capture card and to stand-alone LCD screens.

An automatic Sweeper, internal to the Telephone Intercom System's Controller, continually revolves the camera views on these screens for review by homeowner and household members at distinct locations. When the homeowner wants to take the video surveillance function one step further by capturing on tape the footage from the cameras, suffice it to put to work the familiar VCR or DVD recorder that might be otherwise sitting idle.

This will provide full time type of video surveillance recording enabled by the Telephone Intercom System. On tape it will be a maximum or 8 or 9 hours of recording at a time depending on tape and VCR capability. Typically DVD recorders render a slightly less total amount of recording time. An inexpensive (<$40) computer-based DVR recording utility will allow for days of recording depending on hard disk capacity.

In order to maximize the total recording time, the user may choose to run alarm triggered recording or scheduled recording rather. On the one hand, scheduled recording allow for more footage on the storage media, whether tape, DVD disk or computer hard disk, over a longer period of time. On the other hand, more than one recording device around the household may be put to work at lapses of time that do not overlap in order to cover the desired full period of recording time. Any ordinary VCR may be set for daily recording at specific hours, or weekly recording for specific days and hours of the week.

If the desired amount of recording time is still not covered with scheduled recording, the owner will consider a Time Lapse VCR or a bigger computer hard disk. The system is compatible with any Time Lapse VCR as long as it can be set for shots at intervals of 5 seconds or less.
