Monitor Your Kids With Your Speakerphones

Ennovah Q-26 Series

Several models of these telephone integration systems will allow the homeowner to monitor any area around the home with a regular phone set and a speakerphone, without precluding incoming calls. Monitor outdoor and indoor areas, check out suspicious noise from the security of your bedroom. Put your phones to use for personal safety purposes without any extra cost.

Two Ways to Do Room Monitoring

A.- You may use any existing phone set in the room to be supervised or a special Monitoring Set plugged in a phone jack at the supervised location. Sounds are picked up from the supervised area by the handset or microphone of the Monitoring Set. With ordinary phone sets, you will let the handset proper off the hook and as close as possible to the baby.

For speakerphones, suffice it to hit the speaker button of the set. Alternatively the Monitoring set offers a much wider range of sound pickup than a regular phone helping exercise for better supervision. The remote supervising phone set must be a speakerphone. All sounds from the supervised room will be picked up and released at the supervising speakerphone while all incoming phone calls will still be processed. Those calls are announced with loud call waiting tones.

If you need to monitor twin babies at the same time, each being in their own bedroom, no problem! You may have several rooms under monitoring supervision in this mode with the Ennovah Controllers (no more than 2 recommended in this mode though). As you move to the backyard, the attic, anywhere in the home with one of your cordless handsets, you may continue to supervise the remote room without any restriction. Plugging a headset into your cordless handset or activating the speaker of the wireless handset, whenever available, will give you tremendous flexibility. This type of room monitoring requires an Ennovah Q-26/IXC, IP or IPC.

B.- Alternatively you may also have up to 4 Monitoring Sets in service as dedicated stations, in which case they will be wired independently from the dial tone line. The user may then remotely initiate and terminate as well a monitoring session by simply calling the piece from a speakerphone. The session terminates when the remote supervising phone is hung up. If a phone call is received meanwhile, the user must release the monitoring in order to take the call. Also at the touch of a button, the user is able to conveniently switch monitoring from one set to another. Note that if a surveillance camera is also used at those locations, the supervising video screen will also automatically switch to the selected room. This type of room monitoring requires an Ennovah Controller with one or several doorphone ports (Q-26/DX - DXC - DPC - IX - IXC - IP or IPC).

Those capabilities integrate telephone service and remote room monitoring by a single easy-to-use device, your house phone. No doubt the homeowner will find those capabilities true added value which come handy in many ways and many different situations.
