When the line is shared, the user will
know that the incoming call may either be a regular phone call or
a door entry call. Although the Ennovah system will exhibit a
distinctive ring pattern in response to the guest's call, most
phone systems will not replicate that recognition pattern however.
Alternatively, when the Ennovah
Controller feeds direct into a dedicated line (CO or FXO) port in the
phone system, that particular line button (or corresponding GUI
object in some VOIP systems) will flash on the users's phones upon a door entry call and so allow for immediate
identification of the call. In addition, that dedicated line port may
be programmed for assignment to a particular user or user group as
per standard programming procedures of the phone system. The end
result is that the door answering service may be assigned to
selected persons on the premise as might be required.
That kind of operation may be set for any kind of phone system,
whether a standard PBX phone system, a multi-handset wireless
phone system or else. Ccommercial or residential
applications regardless.
Also note that the
Ennovah door entry
systems may be installed in a completely stand-alone fashion as
well,
that is with no interaction at all with the the user's regular
phones, phone lines or phone systems. When the Ennovah system is
used in the stand-alone mode, one or several independent phone
sets are still required as the user answering devices. Any kind of
phone phone set may be used in the stand-alone mode without any
restriction, whether corded or cordless.
