Ennovah Q-26 Series
The Ennovah Controllers come basic for one phone line. Through the one single line interface the system handles both incoming and outgoing phone calls as well as handset-to-handset intercom.

A.- Expanding Communication Capabilities in Single- Home Residence
Normally when a user picks up a handset, either a direct dial-up phone call may be initiated by punching in the numbers over the dial tone, or a handset-to-handset intercom call may be initiated by dialing [#] and the desired user ID. Therefore only one intercom conversation at a time may take place in a basic system. In order to have 4 individuals at a time engaging in intercom communications instead of 2, or 2 individuals at a time making outgoing phone calls, the system must be configured as a duplex system with the addition of an IPX expansion card.

Further, in that event phone sets in use must be 2-line phones, though not all of them are required to be such. Certain locations that do not require two-line service or extended intercom capabilities may have a simple single-line phone set at homeowner's convenience. Also keep in mind that an actual dial tone phone line is not required to be fed into the system as a second line if all that is desired is solely a second intercom channel in order to expand intercom capabilities. The IPX card provides that extra intercom channel on its own.

B.- Implementing Indoor Intercom and/or Door Answering Service in Duplex Residence
The duplexing capability of the Ennovah systems may be put at play in duplex homes as well. This may be to provide one phone line interface and one room-to-room intercom channel to each of the two home partitions, or to provide instead door answering service from a common entrance to these two independent home quarters. A combination of both types of services is also perfectly feasible. Both households will naturally use single-line phone sets in those conditions. Both partitions remain completely separate from one another. For provisioning room-to-room intercom only in the second quarter, an IPX expansion card is required. For provisioning door answering service only in the second quarter, an IPC expansion card is required as well as a 2-Button Entry Access Panel as shown in illustration. If the second quarter has its own independent entryway, then a single-button Doorphone station at that entry may be used instead, akin to the entryway for the first quarter. If door release control is required for the second quarter's entry door, then the chosen Doorphone station must incorporate a built-in DOP card.

The first home quarter (primary partition) is allowed up to 4 doorphone stations for 4 different entry ways leading to that residence. The second home quarter (secondary partition) is allowed up to 2 doorphone stations. Bear in mind that If the property has a front common entry gate to handle in addition to these individual entryways pertaining to each quarter, the system is perfectly able to handle that requirement with a 2-Button Entry Access Panel at the gate. However, one doorphone must be discounted from the maximum allowed for each quarter.
