When you have a video surveillance system with a high camera count, there are key benefits in integrating a subset of your cameras (the critical ones) with the Ennovah system.

The first benefit is that by doing so you readily make these cameras available for viewing at anyone of your household TVs and any other dedicated LCD screen aside from the screen provided by your DVR machine. That gives you the opportunity to still keep a watchful eye on those critical locations while you move around your residence. It's a remote that you don't have to carry around. With that remote, you can take advantage of your big-screen TV's which can be viewed at dozens of feet away, allowing you to conveniently review the camera footages without leaving your business of the moment (busy in kitchen?) to get to the TV buttons. Keep in mind that the TV remote will not flip your cameras on screen! In some implementations you may even turn the screen on and off with the handset, which is particularly useful and appropriate with dedicated screens.

The third key benefit is that you don't have to trade between the possibility of displaying ALL of your critical cameras and the ability to see them in full blown display for strainless and discriminating surveillance. The sweeper puts these cameras on screen in full blown display one at a time for your review. You can stop and choose at your convenience. No need to be frowning at that little square in the middle of the screen!

The fourth key benefit is that the system makes your video sources independent from the audio sources. By doing so the system enables the homeowner to exercise any monitoring scheme of choice. The user is able to monitor ambient sounds from certain locations and video footage from other locations within the same general sweep, simplifying a great deal the use of the system. Hitting a number key on a handset keypad is all that is required to operate the sweeper. There is still an inherent association between a sound track and a video track within the system, though it's up to the owner to put it to work or not. This further simplifies utilization as well as installation of the system.
