SaffeGard Q-12
As a wireless doorphone system SaffeGard may be configured in two different ways by using two different types of technologies. With the PowerWire kit communication between the entry Panel and the indoor handset is carried out over the power line network. This requires the entry Panel to be on the same electrical circuit as the indoor outlet to be used for the handset. A small coupling device is included in the  package for eventual linking of two circuits if each of the two components must be on two different circuits.

With the radio wireless kit SaffeGard implements a 900MHz radio link between the entry Panel and the indoor handset. SaffeGard so offers the reliability and penetrability of the 900MHz band

Another advantage is the reliability of the 900 MHz band which in most homes and commercial environments today will be least vulnerable to undesired interference from a plethora of other wireless devices.
