The module provides automatic selection of calling doorphone on call pick up and automatically selects the door latch to release when the user hits the door release keystroke. Therefore the user normally need not know which door the guest is standing at.

However, if you don't have or prefer not to have a system with remote door release capability, then you definitely need to know which of the doors your visitor is standing at since you will need to get the door to personally let your guest in.

Of course, you can directly ask! But side doors for instance can be hard to designate unequivocally. Whatever your reason is, the module provides you with a means to exactly identify the calling door: distinctive ring of your door chime! (Distinctive phone ring is already reserved in some systems for intercom page calls). The Chime box will be steered to play 1 chime note for Door No. 1, 2 chime notes for Door No. 2, 3 chime notes for Door No. 3 and 4 chime notes for Door No. 4. It does not matter if your door chime box releases true chime notes (mechanically or electronically) or if it releases musical notes instead. Distinctive chime notes with this module always works!

If you have more than two entrance doors in your home and a musical door chime, all of which will play different melodies to distinguish between doors, it can become indeed a challenge to identify calling doors by musical notes. This distinctive door chime system will unequivocally take away the confusion.
