Whenever
these
intercom
Controllers
are
used
without
a
doorphone
station,
direct
wholehouse
voice
page
can
be
implement
with
the
Controller
as
is:
the
unused
doorphone
port
is
used
at
such
effects.
For
sound
delivery,
you
can
either
hookup
to
the intercom system our
mini-tabletop
speakers
or
your
existing whole-house
sound system.
Our innovative paging system is based on
individual tabletop speakers which are complete amplifiers with volume
control and two plug-in cords: one power cord to plug into any power outlet
and a phone cord to plug into the nearby phone jack.
Also
included
a
headset
jack.
The system uses your
second
or
spare pair
of phone wires (yellow and black) which attaches to the doorphone port of
the intercom unit at the wiring head end. There is no special wire to run
throughout the house other than the
existing
regular phone
wiring*.
When
the
Doorphone
port
of
these
intercom
Controllers
is
in
use
with
a
Doorphone
station,
the
DirectAddress
QX-3
module
must
be
used
in
order
to
provide
wholehouse
voice
broadcast.
Note
that
the
module
also
features
background
music
capabilities
in
several
of
its
editions.
To
make
a
voice
page, pick up the handset, dial [#] [81] [8] and talk.
To
turn
the
background
music
on
or
off
from
any
handset
at
any
time,
dial
[#]
[81]
[5]. With
each
speaker
priced
at
less
than
$35,
this
system
is
the
most
cost-effective
quality
paging/music
system
you
will
ever
buy
that
is
addressable
from
any
of
your
phones.
Each
speaker
is
rated 3
watts. The
sound
quality
is impeccable. You can easily
install over
12 speakers.
Your
existing
phone
wiring topology does not matter, might be daisy-chain or home run.

will

installed

headend

of
your
phone
wiring.
