These
telephone
intercom
systems
handle
one
phone
line
in
their
basic
configuration.
The equipment installs at the head of the line in basement, wiring closet or
garage, and basically intercepts the phone wirelines. If you have dial tone
from cable box or VOIP box located inside the home, just connect dial tone jack
from box to MiniCom and plug MiniCom into nearby wall phone jack. Once that is done,
your house phones become intercom phones that can
communicate with each other in addition to receiving and making phone calls.
This is the installation in the Intercept mode.
When installing the Unit in the
Intercept fashion with a conventional phone line, some minor tooling is required in order to hookup the incoming
phone line and the house phone wirelines to the Unit. No new wiring at all is
required. See our Telephone Distribution Modules if you need to setup (new
construction) or fix (existing home) your house distribution system.
