Most personal or household fax machines lack computer interface. The Ultimatoll system will act as a middleware to interface the fax machine to your computer.

Use Microsoft Exchange or a fax modem application (Winfax Pro, Quick Link, TalkWorks, etc.) on your computer to receive and process the documents transferred from the fax to your desktop computer.

The transfer is initiated with a call generated from your fax machine to your own ID number. The Telephone Intercom System will ring the modem, which will pick and process the call. The document will be received as a graphic file ready for print or OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and eventual conversion into an editable text file if there is a need for such a format.
