To add a second phone line to your application, you only need to have a 2-line phone set at the locations where you want both lines to be accessible. For instance in your home office for your SoHo phone line.

The MiniCom equipment will then be installed on the main home phone line. Your second phone line will reach directly the 2-line phone sets at the phone jacks.  All the intercom services from the MiniCom system will be available in all your single-line phones and at the Line 1 button of your 2-line phones.

Line 2 button in your 2-line phones will be your business line. You can take the kids's calls for them i.e., if their line in on Line 2, when they are not home (from any location with a 2-line phone). You can even otherwise transfer calls from Line 2 to them. You can also conference with another peer user and an external caller (3-party conference) on Line 2.
