These
old
systems
feature
a
dedicated
indoor
station
which
generally
installs
at
one
common
spot
inside
each
suite
(kitchen
or
elsewhere).
The
OmniCom
system
makes
it
possible
to
use
any
standard
phone
set
as
the
intercom
station.
To
provide
outstanding
convenience
to
your
tenants
use
a
low-cost
cordless
phone
instead
as
the
suite's
intercom
station.
The
OmniCom
entry
system
so
improves
on
the
old-fashion
systems
by
providing
telecom-grade
audio,
duplex
hands-free
intercom
at
the
outdoor
panel,
indoor
handset
intercom
with
no
push-buttons
to
talk
and
listen,
optionally
cordless
stations,
which
are
particularly
useful
in
the
suite's
kitchen.
No
horrendous
piercing
and
garbled
sounds,
but
only
telecom-grade
quality
and
reliability. Quality
reception
sound
that
will
allow
residents
to
recognize
guests'
voice
to
maximize
security
preventions.
More
than
one
indoor
station
per
unit
can
be
used.
Use
available
free
twisted-pair
at
phone
jacks
to
plug
in
additional
intercom
handsets,
if
you
do
not
wish
to
run
new
wires.
In
retrofit
applications
whereby
an
old
system
is
to
be
replaced,
the
OmniCom
entry
system
can
be
directly
installed
over
the
pre-existing
wiring
used
by
the
older
system.
The
OmniCom
system
requires
only
one
pair
of
wires
per
apartment
unit.
For
an
exact
replacement
to
an
old
hardwired
open-voice
system
in
physical
connections
and
function,
or
for
a
system
that
does
not
use
a
Main
control
box,
see
the
the
Flexus
system.
