1.- Uses Standard Phones
No proprietary or special
(scary!)
multi-function phones to use with this telephone intercom
system. It
works with all kinds of
standard
single-line
or even two-line
phones featuring
touch
tone
and
tone ringer. You can
change or upgrade your phones at any time. Whenever a new feature appears in the
feature
phone market, just purchase the new unit and plug it in. You don't tie yourself up
with proprietary phones (key system or
KSU-less phones) which make you dependent on
specific brands,
and will never be as cost-effective as standard phones.
With
this intercom system and your variety of standard phones, you will talk to your peers by
means
of
your
phone
handsets whenever needed. So your conversations will remain private because
you are using the extension phone handsets instead of intercom speakers.
|
| While
you are on an intercom communication, you can still receive external calls with call
waiting.

intercom
operates

This is an extinct species. Get nice and neat room-to-room intercom with your very
phones,
whatever
brand
or
model
they
are.

2.- Install Any Number of
Extension Phones
 |
In existing installations, you will generally be
able to run the system with all
of
your
existing
phones,
in
general
a minimum of 8 phones. You can always
have
more depending on
their
REN.
Preferably
avoid
phones
with
REN
of
1.0
or
above
(very
high!)
when
you
need
to
install
a
large
number
of
phones. |
|
The
REN
(short
for
Ringer
Equivalence
Number)
is
a
number
that
specifies
the
load
that
the
phone
set
places
on
the
line
on
incoming
calls.
The total REN of all phone equipments in your installation
should not
exceed
7.0, as set by
standards.
For
instance,
if you
pick
phones
with REN
of
0.4 or
below, you can easily install around
16 extension
phones
of
any
kind
around
your
home.
Flip
the
phone
and
read
the
REN
(Ringer Equivalence Number)
at the bottom.
See our
selection
of phones with low REN.
If
you
are
nearing
the
limit
and
still
need
to
install
more
phones,
then
pick
phones with Ringer Equivalence Number
(REN) of
0.0.
They
are
very
common
and
remove
all
expansion
limitations.
So
how
many
phones
can
you
install
with
this
system?
There is virtually no limit
to the number
of extension
phones you can install with
the
Ultimatoll
system! With
this
system you set your own limit. The greatest flexibility! With
all other systems, Key Systems,
KSU-less
or
wireless, you can never go beyond the preset number of
extension phones or ports they are designed to handle. In addition, costs increase
significantly beyond the basic set of ports. Save big with the Ultimatoll! So it does not
matter the size of your new or remodeled home, you will be able to put an
intercom
phone wherever
you please with this telephone intercom system.
|
3.- Intercom Based on Distinctive Page
| This telephone intercom system supports
6
different user ID's through distinctive ring for intercom calls. The system supports more
phones than user ID's because in the distinctive ring standard the number of extension
phones in a system is irrelevant in regard to the number of users
on
the system, there is
no correlation between the both. A number of 6 user ID's is generally well sufficient for
the needs of most households. If you live with few relatives but in a large residence, or
if you live in a rather small house
with many a relative, |
 |
|
this is the perfect system

to work for you too with this telephone intercom system. You can install it plug&play.

Note: Old bell-ringer phones are only semi-compatible with this
system as they will not ring on intercom calls. Note that they may not be required to ring
on intercom calls anyhow, due to the particular form of intercom implemented
by The
Ultimatoll.
