Telephone
Intercom
System
1.- Smart Use of
Your Phones
| You know it, you would like to do so much more with your phones which are sitting idle
most of the time. You would like to have telephone intercom or phone-to-phone intercom.
You would like to have a home telephone exchange, something like the phone system
in your
office, but simpler,
less
costly
and
more
adapted
to
your
home. You know a
business
phone system is expensive and requires
costly technical service to install it. You know that purchasing
KSU-less telephone sets
(intercom phones with no Key System Unit) may drive your budget down, should you have to buy
one for each location at your
place
that
needs
a
phone. |
 |
| This telephone intercom system is a cost-effective and complete KSU which requires NO or LITTLE intervention
from the user to install it. Easy install in all cases. A built-in Auto-Test capability always assists the user during setup time by running a check on
your wiring as soon as the Unit is powered. The Unit may be installed
anywhere
around your
home or specifically at the headend of your home phone wiring which is usually located at
the utility location (basement, closet or garage).
With
the
Premium
system,
no user intervention
on
the
phone
wiring
is
required.
It
requires
all
4
wires
of
your
home
phone
cables
to
be
in
working
conditions,
however.
The
Premium
system
includes
an
easy
Test/Fix
kit
for
you
to

wiring
before

components

jacks. |
 |
2.- Easy Install Options
Choose between
the
plug-in
Premium
System (you just plug Controller Unit and phones in wall phone jacks through mini-couplers
and you are all set)
and
the
Standard
(or
Economy)
package
for installation at the head end of your
phone wiring with some minor
tooling. Your choice! You will never have to re-run your home phone wiring as you may
have to with other Telephone Intercom Systems or PBX systems! As you know, if your home
wiring is run daisy-chain (point-to-point), you can't install a key system, PBX or any
star-wiring-based telephone system, unless you incur the high cost of rewiring all your
home. |
Whether your dial tone is delivered by a fiber optics box, a DSL
source
or a
cable box, that will work as well with this system.
If
you
have
a
DSL
line,
you
will
need
the
Premium
system
which
delivers
DSL
at
every
single
one
of
your
home
phone
jacks.
If you are in the process of building your home, installing the Ultimatoll is no
problem at all. Follow whichever wiring method you please to wire your home: home run,
daisy chain (regular) or mixed. See our wiring tips.
Works with two
wires
(Standard
and
Economy
systems)
or four wires
(Premium
system)
throughout the home.
Four-wire
home
phone
wiring
is
a
standard
in
North
America.
The Ultimatoll will easily be installed even in the
most prohibitive situations, for instance if the headend of your home wiring is
inaccessible (buried within the floors or ceiling in many remodeled homes). Install in
minutes, not in days after wasting time, patience and peace of mind, if at all.

3.- Two-Phone-Line
Applications
If you have two-phone numbers on
the same line, it makes no difference to this system, it treats them as one. And
you are still able to enter all commands related to smart calling features from the local
phone company to manage your two numbers.
|
| If you have two separate phone
lines,
and wish to use one phone line for
voice service and the other
for internet
sessions
or
otherwise, you have a situation
which is
similar
to
having
just one phone line. You install one Ultimatoll
unit on the voice-service line. You hook
up
you computer modems to the other
line.
