If you are concerned about some of the issues associated with auto-dial telephone entry systems and are determined to stay away from telephone-based entry systems altogether, the OmniCom entry system is still one of your best options.

The OmniCom system offers the Stand-Alone Intercom class of service whereby it runs as a stand-alone system with no connection to and no interaction at all with building phone wirelines and residents's common phones. In that class of service the system functionally runs exactly like an old-fashion hardwired entry system with the benefits typical of newer systems, i.e. the capability to accommodate, among other things, wireless handsets, simple 2-wire cabling and so forth.

These old systems generally feature a dedicated indoor station sitting at a common household spot inside each suite (kitchen or elsewhere) with push-to- talk-and-listen buttons.

The OmniCom entry system makes it feasible to turn any standard stand-alone phone set into the user intercom station. To provide outstanding convenience to your tenants a low-cost cordless phone instead as the suite's intercom station is an even better choice. The OmniCom entry system so improves on the old-fashion systems by providing telecom-grade audio, duplex hands-free intercom at the outdoor panel, simple 2-wire cabling, indoor handset intercom with no inconvenient push-buttons to hit for talking and listening as they speak. Further, there will be no unsettling piercing and garbled sounds so common with old open-voice systems, but only telecom-grade quality and reliability. Many more than one indoor station per unit may be installed as might be required.
